Grape (Vitis sp.) belonging to Family Vitaceae is a commercially important fruit crop of India. It is a temperate crop which has got adapted to sub-tropical climate of peninsular India. It is a climbing vine which has thin and smooth shiny leaves with 3,5,or 7 lobes. The vines produce round or oval berries with edible skin that adhere to the berries.
