We started exports of fresh fruits and vegetables in the 2002 in Shiv Impex a proprietary firm and established good name in the overseas market for good quality products. In February 2006 we incorporated private limited company as M/S Green Vege Exports Pvt. Ltd. with an intention to 100% export oriented entity and obtained IEC code, stuffing permission, RCMC Certificate etc. required for export. As we are already having packing, grading and chilling activity tie-up with M/s. PRABHU HIRA ICE & COLD STORAGE LTD on lease basis at Vashi, started business from same place. At present our cliental base is in Dubai, Katar and other Gulf countries having tie-up with around 125 departmentalstores and supplying in huge quantity Fresh Vegetables & Fruits by Air Cargo. We also have direct relations with the farmers in Maharashtra,Gujrat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh for supply of fresh fruits and vegetables and we try to export the orders in shortest time after reaching produce to our cold storage, so that freshness should be maintained by chilling till the product reach in the market/customer.We have built a good name in the Gulf Countries and there is huge demand of our products because of quality and timely shipments which fetch usof good profit margin.
We have gone one step ahead and introduced contract farming module in Uttar Pradesh by motivating the farmers in 150 acres of land and alsogiven them assurance to buy entire produce from them for export purpose. Initially we opened one branch in U P and started exports of fruits and vegetables and we are pleased to inform you that, U P Government has awarded as “Best Exporter” of fruits and vegetables for last two years i.e. for 2014-15 & 2015-16.
During last financial year (2015-2016) we have done export of Rs. 70.77 cr. almost registering 30% growth every year. Contract farming willboost our business and we also providing farmers with good quality seeds, technology assistance and above all assurance to buy entire produce. Recently government has come up with a notification that, exporters should use approved pre-processing (chilling, packaging etc.) facilities of their own or available on lease basis. Considering our growth and potential we have purchased one plot at Mhape MIDC around 2000 sq. mtr. For built a facility like cold storage, chilling room, packaging yard and store etc. We will get 35% subsidy for constructing cold storage as per government specifications.
